Starbucks: Shameless Marketing

Chicken Artichoke sandwich

Starbucks does sell food that isn't cake pops or breakfast! It's in the open fridge near the checkout, and they'll toast your sandwiches so they come out nice and hot!

Seating: Rickety but homely feeling. Made of nice polished wood but isn't nailed into the ground which is a pet peeve of mine. Monotone and not superbly interesting, which could be good if it forces conversation between people.

Decor: Shameless self advertising. "Perfect coffee plants grown in precisely monitored conditions" my ass. Starbucks buys coffee beans from whoever sells to them the cheapest. Beyond that it had a good effect that made me feel like I was saving the environment by giving Starbucks my money.

Atmosphere: I've never complained about the smell of coffeehouses but dammit this will be a first. Good at first, causes a stomachache if you stay in for too long, and is an awful place to do any work because of the amount of people and the light music playing. I just can't work with so many things going on around me. If you get lost in the bustle and focus better, go to Starbucks in the morning.

Actual Food: Pro tip: Refreshers are 1/2 as expensive as frappuchinos and the strawberry acai one with lemonade instead of water is an absolute delight. Same price, tarter and sweeter flavor. Genius teacher mentioned it to me once(he was gay). The sandwish was also great. Seemed really hipstery the way the two pieces of completely flat flatbread kinda mushed together artichoke and chicken, but hey. Tasted like a dream.

Rating: Would drop by to quickly grab a sandwich and drink, but not somewhere I'd want to stay for extended periods. 7/10

PS: Starbucks Ethos water sells for two dollars and donates 5 cents per bottle sold, a 2.5% donation. The rest is pure profit.
